  • 2022 NASA iTech Focus Presenters Announced

    Seven companies from across the U.S. have been selected to present their inventive technologies to NASA technologists, industry experts, Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) representatives and potential investors at an upcoming NASA iTech Focus event. The entrepreneurs are among the top entrants from across the U.S. who answered a call for ideas in February to advance capabilities in the NASA iTech focus areas of “Recycling for Optimum Space-Age Logistics” and “Low-Cost Photovoltaic Arrays for Space.”

    Presentations from the 2022 NASA iTech Focus event will be recorded for an online broadcast at https://livestream.com/nasaitech/2022focusevent at noon EDT on May 3. 

    The companies slated to present are (in alphabetical order): 

    BLUECUBE Aerospace Inc. - Palm Beach Gardens, Florida

    Innovation: WolfSat-T

    Focus Area: Recycling for Optimum Space-Age Logistics 

    Crystal Sonic Inc. - Phoenix, Arizona

    Innovation: Sonic Lift-off

    Focus Area: Low-Cost Photovoltaic Arrays

    GrowMars - Tampa, Florida

    Innovation: GrowMars Expanding Loop Process

    Focus Area: Recycling for Optimum Space-Age Logistics

    Kyma Technologies Inc. - Raleigh, North Carolina

    Innovation: Low-Cost III-V PVs for Space by D-HVPE

    Focus Area: Low-Cost Photovoltaic Arrays 

    re:3D Inc. - Houston, Texas

    Innovation: 3D Printing Directly from Recycled Flake

    Focus Area: Recycling for Optimum Space-Age Logistics

    Solestial Inc. - Tempe, Arizona

    Innovation: Space-stable Si Solar Cells and Panels

    Focus Area: Low-Cost Photovoltaic Arrays 

    Swift Solar - San Carlos, California

    Innovation: Perovskite Solar Cells

    Focus Area: Low-Cost Photovoltaic Arrays
